According to updates from U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s approved third-party program, several logistics providers have now been authorized to collect and remit duties for postal shipments entering the United States.
Newly approved companies include DHL eCommerce, DHL Global Forwarding, Seko Logistics, and GHY eBiz, joining a growing list of qualified logistics and customs providers allowed to manage duty payments on behalf of shippers.
The move supports DHL’s push to help customers manage increasing cross-border e-commerce shipments while navigating evolving U.S. trade requirements. DHL Global Forwarding is also integrating the capability into its Consolidated Clearance Service, allowing multiple shipments to be processed under a single customs entry for improved efficiency.
This update follows the end of the de minimis exemption in August 2025, which previously allowed low-value imports to enter the U.S. duty-free. With the exemption removed, many postal shipments are now subject to tariffs or flat fees, making duty collection services more important for carriers and shippers alike.
CBP confirmed it will continue updating its list of qualified third-party duty collectors on its official website.
