Amazon Announces 2026 Holiday Fulfillment Fees

Amazon has announced its 2026 peak season fulfillment fees, which will apply from Oct. 15, 2026 through Jan. 14, 2027 across Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Remote Fulfillment with FBA, Multi-Channel Fulfillment, and Buy with Prime. FBA fees are charged based on ship date, so any shipment leaving fulfillment centers on or after Oct. 15 will incur the higher peak charges.
The average fee increase is $0.32 per unit, consistent with last year's peak season bump. Notably, Amazon's existing 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge (in effect since April) will apply on top of the new peak fees, and Amazon has indicated the surcharge will remain in effect "until further notice."
Amazon is advising sellers to get inventory into its facilities by October to preserve Prime delivery speeds for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Exact deadlines vary by seller and inbound shipping plan (AWD vs. FBA). Sellers should also expect tighter capacity limits during peak as fulfillment centers prioritize order processing in November and December.
Separately, Amazon announced a new Global Warehousing and Distribution center in Shanghai, opening July 16, for bulk storage of U.S.-bound inventory — joining its recently opened Shenzhen facility.
