DHL Group has agreed to acquire Lithuania-based Venipak Group, folding its operating companies in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia into DHL eCommerce. Venipak is one of the largest independent parcel operators in the Baltics, with about 800 parcel lockers and strong B2B/B2C delivery capabilities. The deal gives DHL full ownership in a fast-growing e-commerce region rather than relying on contractors, with plans to invest further in staff, lockers, sorting capacity and IT across the network. Terms weren't disclosed; the deal still needs regulatory approval, and Venipak will keep its brand and current management, including CEO Andrius Ladauskas, through integration.
The move continues DHL eCommerce's European and Middle East expansion, following last year's minority stake in Saudi courier Ajex Logistics Services, its acquisition of U.K. courier Evri, and taking full control of its Poland parcel locker network. It also fits a broader wave of European last-mile consolidation: CEVA Logistics recently agreed to acquire Paack's France, Spain and Portugal units into Colis Privé (which bought MIPI last year), while Poland's InPost acquired Sending and Yodel in 2025 after acquiring Mondial Relay, with FedEx taking a one-third stake in InPost in February.
Venipak brings significant infrastructure to the deal: 25 logistics terminals (12 in Lithuania), a 118,000-square-foot Kaunas terminal handling up to 50,000 shipments a day, and about 100 nightly trucks serving the Baltics and Poland. Next year it plans to open a new Vilnius terminal — a $18.2 million self-funded investment able to process 5,000-6,000 packages per hour. DHL eCommerce's adjusted revenue grew 4.9% in Q1.
